The microphones they wear are so sensitive that we can hear Kellie's voice through Kim Mendelson's microphone as clearly as if she had wore the microphone herself so there was no need for Norm to repeat what she just said.

There have been a few times where she has co-hosted. It's nice to hear the models speak. They should know best how an outfit feels.
Yes, Kellie co-hosted a couple of times but she didn't speak too much. The hostess that was with her had to force Kellie to speak and give her opinion a couple of times.
It may have to do with "professional deformation". They're used to do their own respective jobs on the set and not interfere with other people's job.
For instance, I remember Susan Yull apologizing a couple of times to Shauna when she modeled something for about 10-15 seconds instead of Shauna on a Wayne Clark show last year.
So it's the same thing for the models. They're so used to never speak so when they are in a position to speak, they still have the habit not to do so or only say short sentences. Shauna and maybe Charlotte and Anne are the exceptions.
And yes, no one is better qualified than the models when it comes to evaluate the feeling and the quality of an outfit.
